描述：General coloration of head and thorax gray; antennae (male) very short, 12-segmented; mesonotal praescutum with three darker gray stripes; halteres elongate, obscure yellow, knobs weakly darkened; legs brownish black to black; wings fulvous brown, variegated with darker brown and yellowish-white areas. the latter including major markings across base of cell 1st M2 and at near two-thirds length of cell M; inner end of cell 1st M2, pointed; basal abdominal segments reddish brown, tergites narrowly bordered laterally with black, outer segments uniformly darkened; male hypopygium with tergite a partly blackened saucer, cephalic portion elevated into an erect median lobe; caudal border of tergite with a linear median split; inner dististyle unusually broad and simple, its beak reduced to a small triangular point.Male.-Length, about 14 to 17 millimeters; wing, 18.5 to 22.5; antenna, about 2.3 to 2.6.

描述：General coloration gray, the praescutum with four stripes, the intermediate pair darker gray, bordered by dark brown, the lateral stripes uniformly brown; interspaces of praescutum with conspicuous dark setigerous punctures; a narrow black median vitta on vertex; halteres obscure yellow; femora dark brown, the bases yellow, narrowest on the fore pair; tibiae yellow, the tips darkened; tarsi black; wings yellowish white, the prearcular area conspicuously yellow; a dark clouded pattern, involving most of the membrane; a complete crossband beyond the cord, most of cell R5 and the outer medial field chiefly pale; vein R1+2 entire; m-cu on M4 some distance beyond origin of latter; abdominal tergites blackened, the second segment reddish sublaterally; cerci slender, straight.Female. – Length, about 18 mm.; wing, 16 mm.; antenna, about 2.4 mm.

描述：雌虫体长约16 mm，前翅长16 mm。喙浅褐色，鼻突明显；头顶及后头黄灰色。触角柄节、梗节浅褐色；基部鞭节各节基部深褐色而端部棕黄色，端部数节全棕黑色；轮毛明显长于相应鞭节。下颚须基部两节浅褐色，端部两节棕黄至黄色。前胸背板浅褐色；中胸前盾片灰黄色，具4条棕灰色纵斑，中斑由1条褐色中纵纹分开；盾片灰黄色，两叶各具2个灰色斑；小盾片及中背片棕灰色。胸侧灰色；背缘膜质区灰黄色；后基节及中胸侧背片暗黄色。足基节灰色；转节黄色；腿节暗黄色，末端略加深；胫节与跗节棕黑色。翅浅灰黄色，柄部及前缘域黄色；翅痣深褐色；翅弦内侧具1个棕灰色大斑，布及br室近端部、bm室端部及cua1室基部；沿翅弦前部向后外侧至M1+2及各M1、M2基部具较小的棕灰色云斑；a1室端半部中央灰色；翅脉褐色；Rs长约为R2+3的2倍，仅略长于CuA1基段；dm室较小，不规则五边形；m1室较狭长，约为其柄的2倍，其柄明显长于m-m；CuA1与M3汇于M分叉点，且短距离愈合；cua1室端部明显窄于基部；CuA2较直，与CuA几乎呈一直线。平衡棒浅黄色。腹部黄色，末几节黑褐色；产卵器黄色。尾须细长且直。雄虫未知。
